This camping chair has a unique reclining system, you just lean back and find yourself in the perfect lounge position. And it swings fluidly like a hammock. It is lightweight and folds up in a travel tote that comes with it. Easy to carry and store any where you go. The mesh material is cool and allows airflow and it is strong and conforms to your body. The aluminum suspension frame offers great stability allowing you to swing.

I have had mine for almost one year and one of the things I like about it the chair is stored in a compact carrying case.
It has 2 main pieces. A
- an aircraft grade aluminum frame and
- a nonabsorbent mesh chair
Nemo Chair Setup
To set up the frame you simply insert the rods into each other which are held together with bungee cords.
Next, you place the chair unto the frame with a locking plate that clicks right unto it. This allows for swinging and star gazing.
The last step is to insert two smaller rods which are also held together with bungee cords into the back of the chair for support.
What does it feel like to sit in the Nemo Stargazing Chair?
When you sit in it, your body sinks into the chair and it is so comfortable. The locking plate allows for swinging and reclining as you shift your body.
This camp chair takes relaxation to new levels. I like to call it a lounge chair because it feels like you are swinging in a hammock!
And as you shift your bodyweight back it reclines into a stargazing chair. This is what makes this the best camping chair!

This camp chair also has no-spill cup holder & stash pocket which is handy. Along with a removable headrest.
Another feature I really like is the chair is made of a mesh material that allows airflow and is mold and mildew resistant.
The chair weighs 7 lbs 2 oz and hold people up to 300 lbs.
Packing Up the Nemo Chair
After I first purchased the chair, I struggled to get it back into the carry tote but packing in this order the chair goes back in with no problem.
To pack up the Nemo Chair you first fold up the supportive rods and there is a strap in the back of the chair to secure them in place.
Next, squeeze in on the locking plate to remove the chair from the frame. Fold the chair up and place it in the carry tote.
To fold up the frame you pull the rods apart to disconnect them. I love how the bungee cords keep the frame intact while packing it away. This keeps everything together so there are not a bunch of pieces that could get lost and make assembly much easier.
Now, place the folded-up frame into the carry tote and the camping chair is all packed up!
The Nemo Chair is quality built and the carry tote is too. It has a mesh material side which is ideal to allow airflow, so the chair does not get mold and mildew when packed away and stored.
And I love how they have the instructions attached to the carry tote!
This camping chair is lightweight, weighing about 7 lbs. and with its carry handle and the adjustable shoulder strap makes it is easy to take along anywhere.
