This Wisconsin campground totally surprised me with wilderness, a river, remote outdoor camping adventures & EPIC hiking. Sooooo much fun! ⬇️
During this boondocking Wisconsin camping adventure, just minutes from Washburn, WI on the Sioux River I had the time of my life. If you are looking for Wisconsin campgrounds open check this one out! It is one of the most wilderness and remote feeling camping spots and I have camped at. It is ideal for both RV camping and tent camping.
I love being a wilderness camper (boondocking) and there are amazing Bayfield, Wisconsin campgrounds to enjoy and explore the outdoors! Our campsite was riverfront (it actually sat on a cliff overlooking the river) with an adventurous trail leading down to the shoreline. Hiking in and along the river was epic and sometimes challenging but the views were spectacular. And this WI campground is less than 4 miles from Lake Superior, the northern Wisconsin campground location!
