RVs have a lot to offer. They have the space, storage, and amenities that you need to travel and get out to explore nature. But just because theyโ€™ve got a lot going for them doesnโ€™t mean they donโ€™t need any upgrades!

The truth is that there are all kinds of customizations and add-ons to enhance your RV camping experience.

These are 5 RV accessories you may not have thought of that are the best must haves for any RVer.

Froli Sleep System

1.) Froli Sleep System

How to convert your existing RV mattress into a 5-star like hotel bed.

The Froli Sleep System is an innovative and revolutionary bed system that provides a comfortable and healthy sleep for RV owners. This bed system is specially designed to lift your RV mattress off the hardwood surface using a spring grid system.

I could instantly feel the difference these springs added. Before installing this system my mattress was hard and this just wasnโ€™t comfortable to sleep on. I know sleep better and wake up rested ready to enjoy and day.

This is my #1 favorite RV accessory and upgrade.

The Froli Sleep System converted my RV mattress into a 5-Star like hotel bed.

The Froli Sleep System is a luxury RV accessory but is considerably cheaper than replacing your existing mattress because good quality RV mattresses are more expensive.

This system is perfect for RVers who want to keep their existing mattress and not replace it.

I love my Froli!

RV Keyless Door Lock

2.) RV Keyless Door Lock

Are RV Keyless Door Locks worth it?

There are two main reasons why you need a keyless door lock for your RV. The first is convenience and secondly for security.

Convenience

With a keyless lock, you don’t need to worry about losing your keys, and the convenience of unlocking your RV door with just a press of a button on the keypad will make your RV life easier.

We are constantly going in and out of our RV and this eliminates the need to carry my keys during every outing. Who wants to carry keys along with them when they go hiking?

What’s more, given these locks are powered by batteries, they are practically maintenance-free. I have been using my keyless RV door lock for 3 years and have not had to replace the battery yet.

Safety

The second reason an RV keyless door lock is a valuable RV accessory is for safety.

Most owners of RVs are not aware of the security risks involved with using the keys that came with their RV when they purchased it.

A keyless lock makes your RV door more secure because 60% of all RVs have the same key. It is a CH751 key. So check your key and if it says CH751 on it this means other people with a CH751 key can open your door with their key.

RV Door Catcher

3.) Magnetic RV Door Catcher

How can a magnetic door catcher make your RV life better?

A magnetic door catcher attaches magnetically to the door and side wall of your RV. It is designed to stop the door from being blown open by wind or strong gusts.

One day a strong wind grabbed my RV door and flung it open and the force of the wind slammed the door into the side window busting it. Replacing the window cost me a few hundred dollar. This is why I purchased a magnetic door catcher.

But it has also been nice because the door stays place when it is attached to the magnetic catcher unlike the flimsy door catcher my RV came with. This is a simple and inexpensive RV accessory I would want to live without.

4.) Milk House Portable Heater

This RV accessory will save your money!

Most RV furnaces run off propane. And propane can be costly. The amount of propane you will need to keep the inside of your RV comfortably warm will depend on the size of your RV and how cold it is outside.

When you are at a campsite with electric hookups using a milk house heater to heat the inside of your RV will save you on the cost of propane. The cost comparison between propane and using the electricity you are already paying for can be significant. So why not use the electricity you are paying for as opposed to expensive propane.

This also saves your propane for other things like your stove and refrigerator.

You might not think a little portable heater can keep your RV warm but it does.

5.) HDMI Cable to Watch Movies Without Cell Service

This HDMI cable allows you watch anything you play on your IPad on your TV screen.

Itโ€™s nice to be able to watch a movie I have downloaded onto my IPad on a bigger screen. I do not watch a lot of movies when I am RV camping but when it is raining or after a full day of hiking it is a great source of entertainment.

Downloading movies before you head out on your camping trip is a great way to watch TV when you are off-grid or at a location with a poor or no cell signal and no internet access.

You can watch shows you have downloaded from Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime or any other service provider.

This is a fun RV accessory that provides entertainment when camping in the rain.
