But my RV Driving School instructor Steve was awesome. He shared so many great backing up tips and something started to click with me. I wish I had done this when I was an RV beginner.
I do have more confidence now backing up my travel trailer, but I have a lot more practice to do. Slowly but surely, I am doing to master backing up my camper.
How to Back a Travel Trailer into a Campsite Best Tips
There was one important piece of advice he gave me which is “drive your own drive.” And what this means is to:
• Take your time and don’t be in a hurry.
• Go slow and make small moves.
• Get out and look if you can’t see where you are going.
• If someone is behind you when you’re backing into a campsite don’t get flustered.
• Stay in control.
This was such good advice for seasoned RVers and newbies!
