WOW! RV camping at the Apostle Island Wisconsin and the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore at Little Sand Bay Campground offered great Lake Superior camping. This Wisconsin campground is located 15 minutes north of Bayfield WI. Wait until you see everything there was to do and see along this South Lake Superior shoreline, Apostle Islands area campground mainland location!
The Little Sand Bay Recreation Area campground located in Russell Wisconsin, a scenic and secluded spot just off Lake Superior the gateway to the Apostle Islands.
Like every Wisconsin campground, I visit I get excited to see where I will be camping and immediately, I knew this was going to be a good one. As we neared the Little Sand Bay Recreation Area campground entrance, I saw Lake Superior right across the road.
The Little Sand Bay campground has 32 RV campsites.
The campsites had electric hookups and the campground had public showers and what appeared to be new restrooms. They also sell firewood, have a water and sewer dump station and a pavilion with a large group campfire hang out area.
